Ashton is an unreleased collection of acoustic guitar music recorded by Andrew Johnston and Ivan Klipstein, as a bookend to the sessions for 2008's "Leader's Factory." The E.P. is a strong collection of softly picked folk, recorded when Andrew was busy backing up J.F Robitaille for shows across Canada. The album showcases Andrew to be a gifted acoustic guitar player who has absorbed the canon according to Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, and Ryan Adams. The inclusion of various songs appearing on other Andrew Johnston albums (the Mantra, Big Blue Apple, National Geographic) reveals the songs in a new light.
